Hi All...hope you had a good weekend despite the crazy HUMIDITY!
Just wanted to share a quick glimpse of our weekend activities! Enjoying delicious chicken BBQ from Lili's Place on Pomfret Street in Carlisle. We actually go to meet Lili, "the food Goddess!" Our whole family couldn't get enough of her pulled chicken bbq sliders! Her cafe is quaint and adorable on a really great side street in Carlisle... I think the next time I get some "ME" time I know where to go for lunch.
We finally managed to "EAT our way around town while partaking in ALL of the Fun First Friday Festivities!!! My personal favorite was the banana and Nutella crepes from Helena's cafe and crepery--- Surprisingly my little birdies LOVED the homemade GELATTO (pictured at the top of this page!) They BOTH got a scoop of Amaretto Gelatto! If your looking for a cute dessert cafe THIS is the place to go!
LoveCarlisle was hosting "Kid's Night 1st Friday" so we had the chance to do EVEN more fun stuff walking all over the gorgeous "foot friendly" town! There was a lot of free giveaways for the kiddos to collect and games to play along the way. We even got to paint a MINIVAN (it doesn't get more family than a minivan right?!) Plus, we bumped into our friends the Fry family & painted together! Talk about a really cool idea...they just used washable paint--- the kids were allowed to paint whatever & where ever they wanted to on the van...the END RESULT was FABULOUS!
There were musical fairies at the Bosler Library....so of course we LOVED being "dancey" pretending we were on a 'fairy magic carpet ride,' with the exception of Adrien....it was goofy FUN! (BUT Adrien was having NONE of it, I even tried to barter Adrien into dancing...but he FIRMLY declined- which was a 1st; but I'm sure it won't be the last.)
Then we walked over to the vintage inspired candy shop-Georgie Lou's. Posie, the fairy was doing FABULOUS face painting in front of Georgie Lou's and then the kids had a BLAST shopping around the candy shop...they each picked out a PEZ machine...Fiona chose Strawberry Shortcake and Adrien picked out Ferb from Phineas & Ferb! If your looking for some cool gifts and unique candy make sure to check out Georgie Lou's!

To End our weekend, Fiona & I went to Fort Hunter for their Sunset Series...this week instead of LIVE music they were showing the Muppets Movie. It was a really fun GIRLS Night Out together since the boys went to the Newville Drive-In (they were showing Diary of a Wimpy Kid & Dark Knight.) It was nice that Fort Hunter decieded to set-up the movie inside this 100+ yr old barn, since it did rain hard at some point during the movie!
