Melt-Away Memorial Day

Kicking off  the Memorial Day Weekend - Cooling OFF @ the Yellow Breeches
Kicking ROCKS with the Fry Family

Addy finds a Warm weather "USE" for the snow saucer!

READY! SET...SPLASH!  Kayakers--just rolling right by~

Kelli & the crew LOVING the ICY cold chill of the water temp!
It was SOOOO Hot on Friday and the splash time in the breeches was the perfect way to spend our Friday afternoon with the Fry Family!  The humidity made the cold water bearable...I don't know if I've ever seen the kids get the entire way in before June?!

Then we went to "Master Flickinger's" work~~ Cumberland Valley High School- where they were having a 'Farm to Fork' festival.  Fiona got to ride on a REAL horse.  Then when she got off she said, "I want a PONY for my Birthday!"  My favorite was the LIVE blue grass music! They also had a petting zoo, mini golf, hayrides, & face painting~

Listening to LIVE blue grass!

~ARTS FEST on the Susquehanna River~

Braving the HEAT, but still retaining our sense of Fashion, right?

Enjoying the SHADE before entering KIDS FEST - READY for the Popcorn Hat Players Performance!
The KIDS & ADULTS alike really seemed to enjoy the Performers--- the audience participation & improvisation really make each show unique & memorable!  I can't tell you how much my kids LOVED kids fest!  They spent the rest of the weekend re-enacting ALL of the stories they heard here!  Plus the backdrop courtesy of the CITY OF HARRISBURG & the Susquehanna River definitely distracted from the HIGH temperature-it also didn't hurt that we were able to sit in the shade during the performance!

Bare Foot & Chillin' in the SHADY Grass!

BRAVO-- Popcorn hat Players!!!!  BRAVO!

Checking out - Bob's Critters @ KIDS FEST
Fiona was LUCKY enough to get picked to feed the TURTLE!

After being BRAVE & feeding the TURTLE it was TIME to feed the KIDS!  or at least TREAT them...Walk-Away SUNDAE anyone?

I LOVE THEIR honesty!!!

Fiona in STYLIN' her Chocolate Nirvana from her walk-away SUNDAE!

Then on Memorial Day ~ just when you think it can't possibly get any HOTTER ---well, it DOES!  But of course we still enjoyed the day at The Wycheck Compound!  Thanks SO much Aunt Kathy for inviting us!  Congrats to my cousin, Joe for Graduating from Marywood University!

The girls got to take a SWING at the Pinata
& THEN it was the boys TURN!

After Jonathan takes a turn Issac give Adrien some pointers!

Adrien is SKEPTIC....but he must have listened, because HE BROKE the Pinata!!!
