~Victorian Garden Faire~

Yes, we would LOVE to go back in time to the Victorian Era...but since we do not  have a time machine at our disposal, the next best thing was the Victorian Garden Faire @ Fort Hunter Mansion we attended this past weekend in Harrisburg, PA!  It was only a 30 minute drive to get a taste of an Era Gone but definitely not forgotten.  We had the chance to see Victorian dances of the time and the beautiful clothing style of this Elegant Time Period!

The event was free to the public and filled with activities & music for ALL ages.  In case you couldn't make it or GASP--- didn't hear about it until NOW, well be sure to click on the link below and mark your calendars for upcoming FUN family friendly events hosted on the gorgeous grounds of Fort Hunter Mansion.  Even if they aren't hosting any events, this location is very scenic and provides many good photo-opportunities!  Plus, they also have two parks and a covered bridge!

Daddy & Fiona checking out all of the Victorian Accoutrement~

Even Adrien couldn't resist trying on the Top Hat & gettin' in on the dress-up FUN!

I'm sure no matter the ERA or TIME Fiona would buck the STANDARD dress...she refused the traditional girls bonnet for a men's hat of her own choosing!

The wonderful ladies made sure my corset was TIGHT and added a hoop skirt under my dress!

Thanks Fort Hunter for HOSTING such a authentic and FUN day~~~ complete with a Dance around the MAYPOLE~~~
